Hi Alexander,
Nothing is *wrong* with IBM's patch. It's a fine piece of engineering. I
use it myself. However, Sun's solution is better from an engineering
standpoint because it is not a bidi solution, it's an internationalization
solution - works the same way with all languages, and it works for all OO
components, and it is part of OO, whereas IBM's patch is not. That means
that you aren't stuck with an old OO version as you are with IBM's patch.
