That's somewhat defeats the original purpose. I always build from CVS, and I 
only keep the source RPMs for backup and backtracking. the binary RPMs get 
deleted after I build a new RPM package : I always carry the latest binary 
RPMs, and any source RPM that was ever built.

Something which I though to do but I probably not going to (at least if 
Tzafrir's suggestion would work for me) is to do the same thing as I've done 
for my SIM RPMs - the build process is actually a (very short) bash script 
which updates a checked out copy of the CVS, packs it to an archive, puts 
that archive in the RPM SOURCES directory and then executes rpm -ba.
