Hi!
Generaly I recommand using Bezeq leased modem. When leasing the modem from
Bezeq whenever you have a malfunction it is their problem. Take into account
that the modems are prone to thunders, power spikes etc. I already had 2 of
them burnet out within 2 years ( two different installations).

I do not know of PCI/USB Linux compatible, though Alcatels USB is suposed to
(according to what I read).

The (ethernet) modems that do not support PPTP do support PPPoE which is
supported under Linux (in fact this is what is installed when you ask for
ADSL support), and also in Win XP. So we mostly over this PPTP issue.

So my advice: for Linux, stick to ethernet modem, make your economical
calculations weather to buy/lease/get from ISP .
