I don't think that gtkhtml will be able to support bidi in the future, so I

I repeat again -- Ximian has the intention to add BiDi support to gtkhtml; Larry Ewig of Ximian told me they're going to add it in a few months.

What you COULD do is to learn what Bonobo interfaces are implemented by GtkHTML and create a Bonobo component which implements those interfaces using Mozilla/Composer. (I recall there was a Vi plugin for Evolution 1.2 made in such fashion.)

If you are into coding, why not work on BiDi support for gtkHTML ?
