Hi, I use OOo in a non-Hebrew locale (en_US.utf-8) and although I can use Hebrew (and if CTL is set in the options, I even can choose the paragraph direction properly), I had trouble with accented characters. This problem happens because the locale is not fully recognized. Instead of eu_US.utf-8, I now use en_US without specifying the character set, and voilÃ, the accented characters can be typed in from a KDE-configured keyboard.
