Below is part of the command: "rpm -q -a |sort" As you can see there are several RPMs which **seem** to be installed twice (2 different versions). I tried rpm -rebuilddb but that didn't help. Obviously the packages are not really installed twice since many (or all) of the file names would be the same, but I would like to know what this means and how to fix it. I'm afraid to try "rpm -e [pkg-name]" because I assume both versions of pkg-name would be removed.
BTW, I did have a problem with RPM locking up yesterday, and I had to kill it and restart, so I assume ther's a connection. dhcp-client-3.0-1.rc12.2mdk dhcp-client-3.0-1.rc12.3.1.92mdk dhcp-common-3.0-1.rc12.2mdk dhcp-common-3.0-1.rc12.3.1.92mdk <snip> drakxtools-9.2-19.5.92mdk drakxtools-9.2-19.6.92mdk drakxtools-http-9.2-19.5.92mdk drakxtools-http-9.2-19.6.92mdk drakxtools-newt-9.2-19.5.92mdk drakxtools-newt-9.2-19.6.92mdk <snip> gaim-0.74-1.1.92mdk gaim-0.75-1.2.92mdk <snip> harddrake-ui-9.2-19.5.92mdk harddrake-ui-9.2-19.6.92mdk <snip> ldetect-lst-0.1.8-10mdk ldetect-lst-0.1.8-11.1.92mdk BTW - there are probably more **double** packages. I didn't check the entire file. -- Shlomo Solomon http://come.to/shlomo.solomon Sent by KMail 1.5.3 (KDE 3.1.3) on LINUX Mandrake 9.2 ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
