It's about time that I finally make a release of SendSMS that recognizes
the new-style 7-digit cellular phone numbers... So here it is, SendSMS 3.9:
http://nadav.harel.org.il/software/sendsms/
(for people new to this list: SendSMS is basically a free Perl program that
can send SMSs from any Internet-connected machine to any Israeli cellphone,
without cost).
The new version also continues to recognize the old-style 6-digit numbers
(and doesn't rely on the providers on doing so). So you are not forced
to change your existing .sendsmsrc aliases or scripts that use sendsms,
if you don't wish to do so.
Thanks to Dan Kenigsberg for providing the patch for the new-style numbers,
and to other people who also sent me requests and even patches for this
issue (sorry for delaying this release for so long).
Enjoy.
