Hi all,

I'm using Suse 9.0 2.4.21-144-default
I'm having a problem raising my core size limits. Its an awkward situation :
When I first created my account, everything went OK. Meaning, I could
do ulimit -c unlimited
However after a week or so, When trying to do the same, I get:
bash: ulimit: core file size: cannot modify limit: Operation not permitted
Thats happens from any WM like kde fvwm2 etc ...
The strange thing is that I'm able to do it on a simple tty ... (i.e.
pressing ctrl+alt+f1 and executing that ulimit command ).

When mv-ing my ~ to other place, and mkdir-ing my ~ from scratch,
everything is OK. I didn't figure out which file/directory makes that
mess.

1) What is the difference between doing it from a WM and a simple tty ?
2) What can be the cause of that disabled ability of raising my core
size limit ?

Thanks in Advance,
Kobi.
