The attack consists of sending a packet having the same address for
source and destination to a machine. This causes MS-Windows to enter
into infinite loop, which denies part of the computer's services. The
recommended workaround is to ensure that there is a firewall protecting
the computer.

What the impact of such a packet upon Linux TCP/IP subsystem?
Do Linux users need their firewall to be appropriately configured until
the TCP/IP subsystem is made immune against attacks by such packets?
