Short answer: Thanks - that solved the problem Long answer - ;-) 1 - I did notice "minor" stability problems since urpmi updated ktorrent to ktorrent-2.1.2-2.1mdv2007.0 (about 2 weeks ago), but after the occaisional crash had no problems restarting. This crash was different (as I already wrote). 2 - I looked for 2.1.4, but didn't find an official 2007.0 RPM. 3 - I did find SoS and cooker RPMs, but neither of them installed because they wanted an upgrade of glibc. There's a limit to how much I'll risk and upgrading glibc from cooker is probably not a great idea. 4 - I found and installed "unofficial" RPMs from here: http://rapsys.free.fr/ktorrent/2.1.4/ktorrent-2.1.4-0.1mdv2007.0.i586.rpm http://rapsys.free.fr/ktorrent/2.1.4/libktorrent0-2.1.4-0.1mdv2007.0.i586.rpm
Using an "unofficial" RPM is probably also not the safest thing to do, but "in my defense" I'll say that I found the link to the 2.1.4 version on ktorrent.org.
