Hi, I got some responses off list- I just thought I'd post the solution. All the documentation will tell you to mount the NFS shares with forcedirectio and some other flags. After removing the forcedirectio flag and adding the llock flag (llock== local locking, no nlockmgr) the dbca proceeded normally.
