Well, I talked with Eddie about the series in Tel Aviv. He said that the University Scholastic year will only start on November or so, so we still have time to set the schedule. In the meanwhile, I'll update my "Blitz presentation" slides, and find presenters for the other presentations and update them as necessary. The schedule is the same as last year except that we move the installation talk right after the Blitz. > In the Modiin OSDC or Linux Club we are planning to start having meetins. > The Welcome to linux series might be a good start. > > So I wonder how does that work? You find a place to give the presentations, then set up a schedule (based on the schedule in the past years). Then find people to give the presentations. Then you publicise. > Who gives the presentations? We figured that it's not effective because people will have to carry their computers all the way, have them get installed there with sub-standard equipment, etc. A better way would be for volunteers to go to the homes of people who are interested in getting Linux installed, and installing it. > Our mailing list is here: > http://www.osdc.org.il/mailman/listinfo/Modiin > OK, I'll subscribe.
