Replying to myself I'd like to note, that after booting up the Mandriva system with a vanilla/linus 2.6.30.3 kernel, the external hard-disk is working fine. I reported this as a bug in the Mandriva kernel: https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=52453 Regards, Shlomi Fish -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Shlomi Fish http://www.shlomifish.org/ Why I Love Perl - http://xrl.us/bjn88 God gave us two eyes and ten fingers so we will type five times as much as we read. _______________________________________________ Linux-il mailing list Linux-il@cs.huji.ac.il http://mailman.cs.huji.ac.il/mailman/listinfo/linux-il
