Can anyone explain authoritatively what "unlocked" means?
Normally, when a device is sold new, it means "not factory-locked to a single carrier". When sold second-hand, it usually means "has been unlocked from the carrier to which it was locked when new".
These being new, I expect it means the former, never locked to a carrier.
