thanks to everyone who wrote me about this. I should have remembered yum.
When I run something like:
yum list |grep -i vorbis
I get the following output:
libvorbis.i386 1:1.1.2-3.el5_4.4 installed
libvorbis-devel.i386 1:1.1.2-3.el5_4.4 updates
vorbis-tools.i386 1:1.1.1-3.el5 base
'installed' is pretty obvious, but what to the others mean? Or does it
matter?
Geoff, who is surprised there doesn't seem to be an Icecast package in the
Sentos repository.
