Hi i am cross compiling modules for kernel 3.6.9 for an arm embedded board (comes with kernel but no modules). however, i need a driver for 8188eu, which does not come with this kernel.
i downloaded a new kernel tree with 8188eu driver. it is not 3.6.9 so it will not insmod if i compile it directly (what file holds the kernel version ?) i copied the subdir from kernel tree 2 to kernel tree 1, however do not know how to configure the kernel to compile it adding 'CONFIG_RTL8188EU=m' to .config and 'make modules' does not do it how do i do that ? thanks, erez.
