I just tested the Mizrahi transaction sheet and it looks fine in both libreoffice 5.4.4.1 and gnumeric 1.12.36 under Fedora 27. I had to manually adjust the sheet direction to RTL and adjust the column width, but that is still far from "gibberish". Please describe what didn't work.
