Sometimes (about once every 3 or 4 months), for no "apparent" reason, the wallpaper and desktop on my Kubuntu 22.04 machine suddenly shrinks to about 60% of the width and 65% of the height of the monitor. The panel (taskbar) at the bottom of the monitor remains full width.
Any programs or windows that I open CAN be moved to anywhere I want on the screen. As a result of the shrunken desktop, all the icons are moved to different locations (despite being "locked") and there is also a scrollbar on the right side of the wallpaper. I have not found any setting in the multitude of KDE Plasma settings that can correct this and the only way to get back to normal is to log out and log in and then manually move the icons to where they were. I will add that I have 3 monitors on this computer and the shrinking affects all 3 desktops. -- Shlomo Solomon http://the-solomons.net Claws Mail 4.0.0 - KDE Plasma 5.24.7 - Kubuntu 22.04 _______________________________________________ Linux-il mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
