I updated from Cooker and it was about 400MB download. It also messed up the fonts and installed a bunch of other stuff due to dependencies (XFree86, GLibC, Java...). It also messed up with KDM and it didn't allow me to login into the window manager. I had to fix it manually using failsafe.
Bottom line - cooker is not a stable environment so it is not recommended to update from there unless you're willing to pay the price. --- Diego Iastrubni <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > cool... update to cooker... i will keep my 9.1 .... > for me it was un update of > 191 mb. how big was it for you? > ביום שישי, 6 ביו י 2003, 22:07, Noam > Meltzer כתב: > > Mandrake Cooker already has it. > > (this is a link to a ftp mirror of mandrake. check > the mandrake site for > > other mirrors) > > > > > ftp://ftp.phys.ttu.edu/pub/mandrake-devel/cooker/cooker/Mandrake/RPMS > > > > On Fri, 2003-06-06 at 19:17, Diego Iastrubni > wrote: > > > Hi all, > > > > > > For all who dont know, the kde3.1.2 rpms are > available for mdk9.1 just > > > "urpmi kdebase" away (all as one line): > > > > > > urpmi.addmedia texstar > > > > ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/contrib/texstar/mandrake/9. > > >1/rpms with hdlist.cz > > > > > > Works like a charm here.
