Excuse me but I'm not at home so I can't quote the previous 
email.

Anyways, adding set -x showed READWRITE=no and echo -n being 
called,after that the error message was shown and rc.S was 
exited.

I can open a shell as suggested but I don't know what to do 
there.
I ran mount on it and saw that / is mounted (twice) read 
write but the minute I exit the shell  get the error saying 
it's read only.
