Sandeep.Mehta saw fit to inform LIH that:

>I need help on configuring POP before SMTP on sendmail .

For a HOWTO from the horse's mouth (well, from the mouth of John Levine,
originator of the POP before SMTP concept) see
http://iecc.com/pop-before-smtp.html
For further HOWTOs see http://www.google.com/search?q=pop+before+smtp
Congratulations on being well clued - POP before SMTP is an absolute boon
for anyone with roaming users, who can't restrict access to his servers from
a particular IP block. Also check out the SMTP-AUTH features in Sendmail
8.10 (even 8.9.3 has this, but in a more rudimentary form).
