Hi Guruprasad,

There might be some problem with your memory or X Windows might be searching something 
during startup and it does not find that stuff on your pc ( may be some fonts etc. ), 
what you see on screen if you press ctrl-alt-F1? Any error messages ?

How much RAM you have on you PC ? KDE is a memory hog. You will need atleast 32MB 
SDRAM to run it.
