hi suraj!
the thing is that most distributions are basically similar after the
install. where some distributions score over others is the level of hardware
support that they give. to go into the nuances of all that you will have to
ask yourself questions including what display card you have and the rest. if
your present distro. supports your configuration (including display and
sound) then you probably don't need to do anything about it. if however, you
are like me and need to configure your X when you are using something like
the i810 series of chipsets then you probably need to look at the SuSE 6.3.
the advantage of SuSE over RH is (supposedly!) that they give a better
hardware support system. thus you will find that the 6.3 release of SuSE
supports intel 810 chipsets out of the box. with RH6.1 you will need to do
some downloading...check out www.exocore.com/linux and other FAQ's.
if you really are an RH freak then you could wait for a week or two...the
RH6.2 release is due any day (in india that is). alternatively you could
download this.
keep in touch and tell me what your decision is...
regards
gautam

may the source be with you
