Hi,
We're testing out the usage of rsh.
I've logged into my machine diffs-india.com
If we execute an rsh command on the same machine, using a command
rsh diffs-india.com ls, it gives a message Permission Denied. This is
without even asking for password.
We looked at /var/log/messages, which gives the following error.
Apr 12 15:29:40 diffs-india pam+AF8-rhosts+AF8-auth+AFs-5298+AF0-: denied to
murali+AEA-diffs-india.com as murali: access not allowed
I was reading man pages of rshd server. First, I'm not sure whether it is
enabled or not in out machine. I couldn't figure this out by looking at
inetd.conf. Secondly, it talks about a file called hosts.equiv, which does
not exist in our machine.
Can somebody please help us ??
