Search freshmeat and compile SDL ... or pay for the mtv player (better,
use it in the commandline mode)

Linux != Free (as in free beer)

^ ^ I am not getting into that trap now. Linux is quite good, and I am
quite happy with it.  So is FreeBSD.

Mostly because of the reason I quoted - India is _not_ the only place to
get cheap-ass mcses.

UKP 35k per year = a bit less than 3k pounds a month.  Pretty average for
a sysadmin.

Also, if you want to say it is a large sum in Indian rupees, just try
paying 20 pounds for a haircut in London (that is, Rs.1400 almost).  See
where all your 3000 pounds disappear.
