Redhat 6.2 does not have a special 6.2 file system, it is the same as 6.1.
Now that u'r previous HDD is the slave u'r device names for the partitions
may be like /dev/hdb1, /dev/hdb2 etc or in general /dev/hdAN with A=b or c
or d and N=1-4. Just do a `mke2fs <partition ID>` to create a fresh file
system on the HDD. Do a `man mke2fs` in any case...
In fact if U know that there may be no problems etc with the old disk, U
can just mount `man mount` the appropriate partitions and `rm -rf *` from
"root" for the older disk...

What is a slave? I have given above the steps to remove data and format the
