Set a few windows as transparent background :-)
Put up ripple effect in your desktop. Edit picture with gimp.
Try viewing your jpeg/gifs in zgv - speed man speed.
Thats for winduh like feature.
Now,
bounce a mail - as in mutt
translate a fortran/pascal/basic program to c
Try getting so many compilers for windows - U will know why to use Linux
