Check for permissions on the /tmp directory.

I had this problem once when xfs was unable to create its files in .tmp
directory....

Don know how the permission changed.

Subject: [LIH] prob with booting -2

Thank u friends!
Now I'm able to boot into linux, but the problem now is that I'm still not
able to start X .
The reason probably is that my X - Font server has failed . When I try to
run
X i get message that 0 fonts available and Default Font not found. Also on
shutting down X- font server is again shown as FAILED.

help me to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

Rajeev
