Hi,
boot in rescue mode using floppy or CD. check the partition table by fdisk
-l /dev/hda . mount the partitions in turn and check out which are root
and boot. install lilo by using -r option (this does a chroot before
running lilo). you might also need -C option to specify configuration
file.
