Here .indentity is a folder with no rwx to any body ,inside the identity
i have two files one is gid with Sgid bit set and one is Uid with suid
bit set

Here is the tar cvhf ../test_omapdesign.vws -| (cd /mountedpar/otherdir
; tar xvf -)

i use h option to take care symlinks after this if check the
/mountedpar/otherdir/test_omap.vws .
there is know suid file (file name sid) at all .

why tar is not preserving permissions i used cvpf also it also
did'nt work .

but if i do rsh on the target m/c then it goes through
note /mountedpar/otherdir is auto mouted slices of the server.

please help.
