Hi:
1. I installed mysql-3.22.25-1 from PCQ CD on a RH 5.2 machine. As instructed, I
tried to give a password for root as:
mysqladmin -u root password mypassword
I get this error:
error: 'Access denied for user: root@localhost' (Using password: NO)
2. After installation of this package, on booting, I get the following error:
"setlogsock" is not exported by the Sys::syslog module at (eval 2) line 1
I installed the same package on a RH 6.2 machine and I am able to create databases,
tables without the system asking for any password.
Someone help me please!
