[LIH] Power failure - boot up problem

I was upgrading my kernel. Installed the kernel rpms and then there was a
power cut so, could not run lilo.

Now I can't boot into Linux. Mine is a dual boot system and I can read the
linux partition from windows.

I do not have a boot floppy.

Is there any way to salvage the situation other than a fresh install ?
