sorry you are not exactly right.There are ways to get ATA100 working on

Maybe ....You kin rip a DVD faster on ATA100(I have only ATA66 drives so i
don't know) or maybe there will be something more data intensive to be done in
the near future ;-).However I might agree with you that the performance
difference is not really HUGE at PRESENT,but it'll be significant as ATA100
drives replace ATA66 and better driver implementations for the various
controllers are written.

Actually the point in recommending A7V to the A7V Pro is that the "Pro" is
actually minus some features of the A7V and also the overall performance
ot the A7V is better(ATA 100 is one of them).In any case the A7V is So damned
hard to find it is difficult to lay one's hand on!!. but that's one of
the best mainboards money can buy as far as pure performance goes!
