 Neither does mailman.

This header is explicitly added to stop mail loops (the same message looping
back). It usually works (I've been running mailman for ~ 1 year - its
worked so far, touch wood maybe?).

So what has happened? Just mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask.

I expect comparing the headers will unearth something. I deleted the entire
lot of crap but from what I recollect, eth was bouncing mail to aunet.org
(which likely, has a mailertable - or rather, a transport - pointing
 lists.linux-india.org to the new address).

Were these headers there, or were they stripped out?
