Hi,

I tried new version of mplayer too. No success.

Whenever I try to run any svga based stuff ( say quake-svga or lsdoom ) I
get the following message :

No Vesa bios detected!
Int 0x10 is not in rom (xxxx:xxxx)
Using VGA driver.

However after this the above games work fine. But mplayer just gives back
the prompt.

As per svgalib docs :

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The error:
Int 0x10 is not in rom (xxxx:xxxx)
is usually caused by running linux using loadlin, after loading a dos tsr
that changes the int 10 vector, or after windows 95, that does the same
thing. The solution, is either to use lilo, or run loadlin after a clean
dos boot.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In my case this is not the case. I am using grub to load linux. Even tried
using LILO but the result is same. I am surprised, how am I getting the
above error ?

Regards
