Hi Nilesh,
Put the following in /etc/rc.d/rc.local :
insmod specialix
Add the following statements in your /etc/inittab :
W0:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW0 DT9600 vt100
W1:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW1 DT9600 vt100
W2:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW2 DT9600 vt100
W3:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW3 DT9600 vt100
W4:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW4 DT9600 vt100
W5:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW5 DT9600 vt100
W6:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW6 DT9600 vt100
W7:23:respawn:/sbin/getty ttyW7 DT9600 vt100
You can change vt100 to whatever TERM u want.
Check whether u have got the following devices in /dev :
[root@rhlinux /dev]# l ttyW*
crw------- 1 root root 75, 0 May 18 10:24 ttyW0
crw------- 1 root root 75, 1 May 18 10:27 ttyW1
crw--w--w- 1 root root 75, 2 May 18 14:30 ttyW2
crw------- 1 root tty 75, 3 May 18 10:24 ttyW3
crw--w---- 1 ag2 tty 75, 4 May 18 14:23 ttyW4
crw------- 1 root tty 75, 5 May 18 12:56 ttyW5
crw--w---- 1 npp tty 75, 6 May 18 12:18 ttyW6
crw------- 1 root root 75, 7 May 18 10:24 ttyW7
If not create them with the major & minor no.'s given above. Use mknod for
that.
We have got here similar setup under Red Hat 6.2.
That's it
HTH.
Warm Regards
Rajesh
