I just upgraded my kernel 2.2.14-12 to 2.4.1. I'm able to reboot the system
but minus some of the facilities, like e.g., the sound system doesn't work. I
tried to reconfigure the sound card, but got the message that the sound
module couldn't be found.
I'm also getting lots of FAILED messages while the system is booting. Now the
question is how do I get a list of those messages - they scroll off so fast
while booting; I tried Ctrl-S, but still find it difficult to copy those
messages - so that I can try rebuilding the kernel.
