 "slackware", "debian" and "redhat" doesn't mean "distro war" by itself - I

 Remote X servers you mean (the client - server model is reversed in this
 case).  Very well documented on linuxdocs.  Or search for "thin client" apps
 - if there's a free or GPL'd version of Citrix Metaframe / Winframe, that's
what you basically need.

You can either telnet to the server, or set up IMAP which can be accessed by
any windows / DOS or whatever mail program directly from the server.
