... you left out the "over foreign mailservers".  As protection from spam
coming with forged hotmail, yahoo etc freemail addresses, GMX lets you
check an option to accept mail from a yahoo address (say) if and only if
it comes from yahoo's mailservers.

You send mail from the goatelecom smtp server (or whatever) with a yahoo
from address, so the mail is bounced.  Send it from the yahoo smtp server
(or using yahoo's webmail) and see. :)

Personally I think this is a screwed up system, as it breaks

1. forwarding mail (when a mailbox forwards to a gmx address)
2. mail sent through mail2web.com, free greeting card sites etc
3. mail sent like yours - through your ISP's smtp server with a yahoo from
address.
