On Sat, 23 Jun 2001, you Spewed into the ether:
--> Hi,
--> I am able to dial up through minicom and
--> linuxconf->ppp.
[snip]
  The reason u post a prob, is because u xpect some help on the
issue.
   So don't u think it is advisable to enlighten the readers on
wat xactly is happin..........for the simple reason that sayin "it
doesn't work.", is an abso absurd way of statin ur prob. Better luck
next time pal...'-)

--> But when i try to dial up through kppp , after
--> 'logging on to network' , it disconnects with
--> following error:
[snip]
  1st of all which is ur ISP and wat is the method of authentication
u r makin use of. PAP,CHAP, SCRIPT or just a plain Terminal window
in KPP.
  Also give Wvdial a shot. Wvdial is a heuristic dialer which senses
the type of authentication requested and uses the appropriate
protocol needed. I found it to work with all the ISP's i have ever
connected to out here in bbay. And if the apps works with the ISP's
out here then it should work with ISP's almost vrywhere.
