To clarify, take a look at some MTA logs - /var/log/maillog, on a standard
redhat system. You'll see stuff like
Jul 2 18:45:28 mjollnir sendmail[26481]: f62DFSTC026479:
to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
ctladdr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (0/0), delay=00:00:00,
xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=local, pri=30016, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent

The mailer, in this case, is your local delivery agent (LDA) - procmail or
whatever. The Msmtp / Mesmtp and other mailers don't enter into it at all.
