See the problems arising with different time zones. Convert everythin
to UTC everywhere and all will be well.

This will be in the porder in which the mails are recieved by mailman.
They may have been stuck in some mail queue or the other, probably at
your ISPs mail server. SMTP is after all, a store and transport
protocol.

mailman gets mails, and sends a digest of the total when either:
The size of recieved mails exceeds the configured digest size.
The time set to send a digest is reached.
