For that u must install your Linux on first 1024 cylinders.
Most of the time if you create your partition 4GB
& on that install your win 98/2k. Then reboot it.

If you have already install windows on 5 GB please resize partition.
After that from bootable cd install your favourite Linux.
Some times (depending on BIOS)1024 Cylenders are lie within 2GB. In that case your
Primary poartition should be 2GB.
After installing Linux using FDISK create Extended partition. And use your other
(Remaining partition after installing Linux)Free space for windows.
