[LIH] Installation in MS Win way.

I recall we used to install windows by copying CD contents on hard disk,
and then issuing " setup " commnad to install or upgrade windows. Is there
any similar way to install / upgrade Linux by copying Linux CD content on
HDD and issuing some command to start installation.
