I apologise for my ignorance. I guess too must be
connecting to the K56flex modems of Satyam at Trichy . However my Dlink
DFM 56000 supports both V.90 and Flex technology and I generally get
connects of 44000 bps consistently and downloads peak at
3.7KBytes/sec.On very rare occasions I have got 48000 bps.

Satyam and v.90 ??? Atleast they don't offer that in bangalore... they
only have K56Flex modems in their modem pool and since I have a X2/v.90
modem.... I can never connect to satyam at over 33.6.
