Hi,
I have installed PCQ Linux 7.1 on a dual boot m/c with bare bones KDE
installation on a 900 MB partition.When I tried to install EE(Electric Eyes)
program later, (from RPM file) the error message came saying that "libz.so.1
is needed by the program". But when I checked for that program
# ls libz.so.1
it was showing a symbolic link "libz.so.1--->libz.so.1.1.3"
So, when the required lib is available why does it show the dependency
problem?
Shall i go ahead with installation "rpm -ivh .....| no deps" option ignoring
dependencies? will it destablise the system? Pl clarify my doubts.
