Install a package called xinetd. In RH 7.1 there is no inetd.conf. After installing xinetd edit the /etc/xinetd.conf. For telnet install telnet-server package. > Please do help to enable telnet , FTP , POP3 Edit the /etc/xinetd.conf and change disable=no for the respective services.
