Devdas Bhagat <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> chittered thus:

Devdas> I can force a header reset for the reply to, but that causes the from
Devdas> header also to be overwritten.

Why on earth?

Devdas> Mail will always come from $list-admin, with a reply to of $list.
Devdas> (Instead of seeing "Devdas Bhagat" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, you will
Devdas> see
Devdas> <linux-india-[general|help|programming][EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Devdas> in the From field.
Devdas>
Devdas> Will this be acceptable to the list, or do we let this situation
Devdas> continue (or move the list.)?

Moving the list is not an option at all, I thought.

And no, when you post as $luser, I think, it would be way better if you
could post as $[EMAIL PROTECTED] rather than -admin@whatever ...

Why cant you just use a better email client and/or provider than what you
currently do, that prevents you from using unique and distinct From: and
Reply-To: headers.
