when i ran RH 6.2, the windows keys on my keyboard used to have a particular
function. when working in a virtual console, the left windows key (next to
the left ctrl) used to shift me one virtual console to the left (e.g from
tty2 to tty1), while the right windows key (near the right ctrl) did exactly
the opposite.
also, the "right-click key" (between the right ctrl and the right windows
key, which has the same function as the mouse's right button in windows)
switched me back and forth between the present virtual console and the last
one used.
this used to work only in virtual consoles, and did not work in X.
i did not have to do anything to achieve this functionality. this was enabled
by default in RH 6.2 as distributed by pcquest.

but as i upgraded to RH 7.0 and then to pcqlinux 7.1, this has stopped
working.

what can be the reason? how can i make it work again? i can associate keys
with functions in X, but i don't know how to do this in a virtual console.

thanks

- tathagata.
