AFAIK, it is a driver dependant thing as far as linmodems are concerned...
i have a PCTel based modem (DAX) and i'll try it out (the box says fax group
3 class 1)
i once tried it winblows..and it worked..i'll try it in linux and let u know
as far as other linmodems are concerened..i'm not very sure but i remeber i
guy sying in the linmodem lists that he was using hi Lucent Chipset based
modem for faxing (not very sure)
